Team Building Venue in Aklan, Philippines: Grand Boracay Resort

In May, as many of you may have known from our recent posts on social media, I traveled to a dream destination to conduct a team building event for Prince Warehouse who is celebrating their 25th Year Anniversary. That dream destination was Boracay, a tiny island in Aklan province which is one of the prime tourist destinations in the Philippines. I’ll come right out and say it that if you don’t have a dream destination, make it Boracay. Seriously, it’s like being in one giant never-ending tourist fantasy from the moment your plane begins its final descent and little sail boats and kite surfers start appearing below.  This place is a tropical paradise in every sense for both tourist and natives alike. I’ve never seen a paradise quite like this. We stayed at Grand Boracay Resort, a grand villa hotel right in the middle of Station 2. A garden hotel which offers a luxurious place to get away from the hustle and bustle of mainstream Boracay. I could write a lengthy guide, but I don’t think it’s necessary. I’m just going to give you a few details on the placed as a venue for a team building event.

Here’s a teaser…

Grand Boracay Resort
is a good venue for team building events since it has the feel of being hidden away from the rest of mainstream Boracay. The function room that they have, albeit being too small for a actual team building activities can be used as a starting point for introductions and getting-to-know-you activities.

The pool can be utilized for water activities, of course within the rules set by resort management. It is deep enough for people to wade and waddle in and is impeccable for team building activities like
Water Moon Ball or Aquatic Cookie Machine.

There are also rooms where guests can stay, we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with really amazing appliances, top quality technology and soft beds and pillows.

However good their facilities are, there are quite a lot of things that they need to improve on. I would personally rate this resort a 2 out of five. Why you ask? Well, when we arrived the room still had the trash from the previous occupants and the sheets we had when we arrived were still from the previous guests.
