CTFN Takes on Strategic Planning for Third Team Media

Strategic Planning and goal setting is an integral part of any organization. This enables teams to design and forecast their goals in within a certain time frame and help set expectations for the team in order to lead the organization in a unified direction. The Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network conducted a Strategic Planning Workshop for Third Team Media team last March 10, 2017 at their office at IMEZ Building, Pueblo Verde, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines.

Third Team Media is a digital marketing agency specializing in social media marketing, content creation, search engine optimization, web development and the like. It won the Silver Stevie Award in the Services Company of the Year category in the first annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards which are the first business awards program in recognizing business achievements in the Asia-Pacific region.

Team Building Activity: Moon Ball

Since ancient times Volleyball has been a popular sport among commoners and royalties alike. The game is designed to promote planning and focus. As a team sport, the competitive atmosphere of the game fosters teamwork and harmony. All these factors give perfect sense to creative use volleyball as a team building activity.

A team building activity modeled after volleyball is the Moon Ball. Some facilitators refer to it as Armageddon when it is done with a metaphor.

Memorable Monday: USC Chemical Engineering Society Enjoy Team Building With CTFN

Sometime in the middle of 2013, officers of the Chemical Engineering Society (ChES) of the University of San Carlos had a leadership and team building program. They tasked the Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network to facilitate the program for its newly-elected officers.

CTFN was then known as the Cebu Teambuilding Services. The event was facilitated by CTFN founder Thadz Engaling. Assisting as an intern at the time was Clint Eduard Fuentes. Clint is now one of the more tenured affiliates of CTFN.

Team Building Activity: Helium Ring

The Helium Ring team building exercise has been used in the team building trade for many years already, and is deemed one of the classics. If you haven’t tried it yet, here’s a simple guide to conducting this fun, play-based team building exercise.

Material/s:

Hula hoop or any light ring material. A curtain rod or any other straight pole can also be used for a similar play-based team building exercise called Helium Rod. Examples are tent poles and pipes made of plastic.

The team dynamics seminar with Agrimate Inc, a nationwide distributor of poultry, hog, and fish farm feeds, was CTFN’s first training for the month March, held in their CEO’s beautiful rest house in Ronda.

Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network in February 2017

Activity picked up a little bit for the Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network in February 2017. In total, CTFN had 2 training engagements in February. The blog output was another highlight. As early as February, TeamBuildingPH.net has already surpassed the total number of published articles for the entire 2016. CTFN's official website and blog is on track to reach their target of at least 200 articles by the end of 2017.

CTFN Travels to Cagayan de Oro City to Facilitate Republic Cement Team Building Program

The first out of town engagement for the Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network in 2017 was a team building workshop for Republic Cement Iligan Inc. in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. The event was held at the Seda Hotel Centrio on 10-11 February 2017.

CTFN Goes to Basay for Kalikasan Educational Center Team Building Program

February is the month to spread love and the facilitators of CTFN travel all the way to Dumaguete City to share our passion and love for facilitating. From Dumaguete City, we traveled 3 hours to get to the Funtasea Beach Resort in Basay, Negros Oriental, Philippines last February 20-21, 2017.

The theme of the training which our client, Gandhi School of Korea-Kalikasan Educational Center, Inc. wishes to enrich is Community Spirit. The participants were teachers of Korean students mainly focusing on English as a Second Language (ESL). Because of their busy schedules, it was hard for them to get together and simply hang out. This training was the perfect time for them to get to know more about each other and strengthen their friendship.
