Flashback Friday: Bacolod Mindanao Lumber and Plywood Corporation Team Building Workshop in Negros Occidental

In 2013, Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network did 2 training programs in Murcia, Negros Occidental, Philippines. The first one was for Lundbeck Pharmaceuticals in May and the 2nd was for Bacolod Mindanao Lumber and Plywood Corporation.

Both 2013 programs done by CTFN in Murcia were at the Mambukal Mountain Resort in barangay Minoyan. This was also the 3rd time that CTFN founder Thadz Engaling has done a program in Mambukal. The first was when he joined former business partners in doing a team building program for Young United Professionals Bacolod back in 2009.

For the BMLPC team building engagement, Thadz led a team of 7 facilitators. The other 6 were CTFN affiliates Jihan Carmel Aguanta, Kevin Johnrey Sosas, Clint Eduard Fuentes, Merie Joy Llenos, Tiffany Manabat, and Leslie Manoriña. 5 of the facilitators were then senior facilitators of the 21st batch of the Facilitators Circle Inc.

Team Building Activities for BMLPC Team Building Event

The team building event for the Bacolod Mindanao Lumber and Plywood Corporation was heavy on play-based structured learning experiences. Debrief was done after each activity which was done as a revolving carousel. Activities done were TP shuffle, all-in, minefield, reverse caterpillar, warp speed or the ball game, and pipeline.

Throwback Thursday: Alien Atlas Team Building Program in Bantayan Island

The first training program done by the Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network in the beautiful northern Cebu island of Bantayan happened in late April 2013. Then known as the Cebu Teambuilding Services, the program was done by CTFN founder Thadz Engaling and CTFN affiliate Ricardo Enriquez Jr.

The team building program was part of company summer outing activities for the now defunct Alien Atlas Inc. (also known before as Tycolux). This was also the first of 2 programs done by CTFN before the company eventually ceased to operate in 2014 shortly after the 2nd program which was done in Panglao Island, Bohol.

Wayback Wednesday: CTFN Does Teambuilding Workshop for Ayala Land Team in Cebu City

Back in July 2014, a team manager from an Ayala Land division in Cebu City called up Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network founder Thadz Engaling to ask for help in motivating her sales team and reinforce professional ethics within the team.

Without much hesitation, CTFN made its services available to the event held at the Mountainview Nature Park in Cebu City. Thadz and Paulo Frangelyco Magallon conducted the program where 10 sales professionals attended the event. Three major topics were covered in the event with professional ethics tied in to all of them.

Take Me Back Tuesday: Lourel Development Corporation 2013 Team Building Program in Bohol

One of the first few training programs that Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network conducted out of town was a team building workshop for a Batangas-based construction firm. It was done in Panglao, Bohol in May 2013. Let's look back at that wonderful experience.

Lourel Development Corporation (LDC) is a construction and real estate development company based in Mataasnakahoy, Batangas, Philippines. In May 2013, they decided to have their summer team outing and team building workshop in Panglao, Bohol, Philippines where they had an ongoing project. LDC engaged the services of CTFN (then known as the Cebu Teambuilding Services) to implement the team building workshop module.

Memorable Monday: 2013 Team Building Seminar for Trends and Technologies Inc.

The first training program that the Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network conducted at Alta Cebu Village Garden Resort and Convention Center happened in 3-4 May 2013.

Then known as the Cebu Teambuilding Services, Cebu's top team building services provider was engaged by Trends and Technologies Inc. (TTI) to stimulate positive change within it's predominantly female sales and marketing team.

CTFN in January 2017

January is always a good way to start anew as the new year brings fresh hopes of a successful year ahead. While it may not be a loud and busy January 2017 for the Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network, there are a few important milestones to celebrate nonetheless. So let's take a look at CTFN's January 2017 events.

TeambuildingPH.net publishes 100th Article

January 2017 marks a very important milestone for the official blog and website of the Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network. TeambuildingPH.net published it's 100th blog article on 20 January 2017. The article is a summary of the events that happened for CTFN in 2016.

January 2017 is Busiest Month for TeambuildingPH.net

January 2017 also happens to be the busiest month for TeambuildingPH.net. A total of 19 articles were published, 5 more than the previous record of 14 set in July 2014. Most of the articles were about programs done in 2016.

CTFN Launches Corporate Promo for 2017

In preparation for the summer season, CTFN releases it's first team building package promo rates for 2017. The release covers 3 venues: Lowaii Cebu Marine Beach Resort in Lapulapu City, Coco Maldita Beach Resort and Swimming Pool in Talisay City, and Hidden Paradise Mountain Resort in San Fernando.

Memorable Monday: Ang Suga Team Building Workshop of 2014

While a bulk of the team building training programs facilitated by the Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network are for corporations, we occasionally handle training programs for student organizations. While not so lucrative in terms of fees paid, training program engagements for student organizations are integral part of the mission of Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network.

Cliche as it may sound, we believe in developing the youth's leadership capabilities and prepare them for their role as society's leaders of the future. One of the good things about conducting training programs for college-aged youth is that there is so much idealism in them.

Flashback Friday: Teradyne BSC Team Building Workshop 2014

While each training program we conduct is memorable, there are a few that we cherish more than the others. For various reasons. Could be the activities that we did, or the relationships and strong bond we built with participants, or the impact that our program had on the group we handled.

One such memorable program was one done in September 13, 2014, a Saturday. The day started with gloomy skies and a strong sea breeze that threatened to interfere with our planned program. There was a reported weather disturbance at the time but the program has to push through as it has been calendared and postponed a few times.

Throwback Thursday: 2014 Team Building Event for TB-Free Philippines Central Visayas

While many government offices in the Philippines are much maligned for being too corrupt or insensitive to the needs of those they serve, this is not without basis. It is true that corruption is rampant in the Philippine government and many of those who are in public service are just not into serving the people. Every now and then, we do find exceptions.

In many areas of the world, Filipino medical professionals are looked up to as one of the best. The vast opportunities for Filipino medical professionals abroad has seen many of these professionals grab them and leave the Philippines contributing to a massive brain drain. There are a few who chose to stay and I met some of them during a team building program conducted by Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network for Central Visayas group of TB-Free Philippines sponsored by the Philippine Business for Social Progress.

Wayback Wednesday: RDT Industrial Sales Summer 2016 Team Building Event in Bohol

2016 was a really busy year for the Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network. Aside from a major transition brought about the founder's departure to the United States, it was also a year of many training programs. Perhaps one of the busiest years for Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network in terms of number of training projects handled. In particular, the summer season was a peak for training engagements as is always the case.

One of these programs was the team building event for RDT Industrial Sales and Services that happened on 14 May 2016 at the Dumaluan Beach Resort 2 in Panglao, Bohol, Philippines. RDT Industrial Sales and Services is a Mandaue City-based company involved in the electrical supplies and services business.

Fairchild Multi-Purpose Cooperative does the Triathlon-Inspired Team Building

On the day of the recent Chinese New year, Fairchild Cebu Community Multipurpose Cooperative had a blast louder than firecrackers at the beautiful Solea Hotel and Resort in Cordova, Cebu, Philippines. This cooperative teamed-up with the Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network to ensure team building success, and true enough they got more than what they expected.

Challenge Accepted

Backtracking a few weeks earlier, they contacted CTFN for a training proposal, stating their theme as “Sustaining Greatness Momentum,” and posed a challenge on us to give them real challenging activities. Needless to say, we at Cebu Teambuilding accepted. In fact, Team Development Consultant Nathaniel John Arong had been waiting years for an opportunity to implement an activity that was indeed challenging. An activity that conceived in 2012, he calls the Triathlon.

Looking Back at the 1st Petron Team Building Facilitated by CTFN

It was in 2014 when a manager from Petron Corporation got in touch with Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network founder Thadz Engaling. CTFN was still known as Cebu Teambuilding Services then. To date, CTFN has handled 2 team building programs for the same Petron team, the last of which happened on 25 June 2016 at the Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel in Buyong, Lapulapu City, Cebu, Philippines.

That first team building program engagement for Petron happened in June of 2014. The venue of the event was at Rancho Cancio in Adlaon, Cebu City, Philippines also known as the Adlaon Farm House. It was a private rest house available for rent to friends and acquaintances. To date, that was the only team building program CTFN facilitated in the venue. There were 6 managers in attendance that time.
