CTFN Launches Dakak Park and Beach Resort Team Building Package

The Cebu Teambuilding Facilitators Network invites organizations to hold their team building events in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines. Known as the Shrine City of the Philippines, Dapitan City is located at the northwest tip of the island of Mindanao. Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal once spent life in exile in this humble city. It was in December 2013 when CTFN founder Thadz Engaling came into contact with Dakak Park and Beach Resort when the resort launched a more aggressive marketing campaign aimed at the Visayas market and hosted a familiarization trip for travel agencies and event organizers. Thadz joined that Dapitan City trip and has since has remained in contact with Dakak through it's Cebu marketing office.

CTFN has entered into partnership with Dakak Park and Beach Resort in Dapitan City to give it's clients the best value in terms of a team building venue in Dapitan City but also make other perks available. We understand that more than just the activities within the team building program, it is also important to allow people within an organization some unstructured free time to enable them to develop deeper bonds in a more personal and intimate manner.

Cost of Team Building Program

The services of CTFN facilitators and the cost of materials used in training are integrated into the promotional rate. This amount will be reflected in an official receipt issued by Gestalt Wellness Institute Southeast Asia. The remainder of the amount paid will be covered by a receipt from Dakak Park and Beach Resort.

Round Trip Transfers Within Dipolog City and Dapitan City

Transfers from the airport or seaport in Dipolog City or Dapitan City to the resort will be provided by Dakak Park and Beach Resort.

Dormitory Room Accommodations

For the Dakak Team Building Package, accommodations will be at the family pavilion, dormitory rooms with a minimum capacity of 10 and a maximum occupancy of 21. Each room has 2 bathrooms for use by guests. By having everyone in just 1 or 2 rooms, it provides more opportunities for teammates to talk to each other even right before bedtime.

Free Use of Resort Facilities

The team building package also makes certain resort facilities available for free use by guests such as the swimming pools, water slides, outside Jacuzzi, beach volleyballs, and kayaks.

Meals

Depending on the team building package availed, a set number of meals are also covered. For the meals that are not covered in the package, Dakak also offers set meals for groups of 30 or more at a price of PhP 325 per meal.

Running Tour of Dapitan City

Aside from the team building program itself, there are plenty of other opportunities for colleagues to form stronger bonds within the team building package that CTFN created with Dakak. One of these opportunities is while exploring historical places in Dapitan City which is covered. The usual tour stops are at the Jose Rizal Park and Shrine in Talisay, the Punto del Desembarco de Rizal, and the St. James the Greater Parish Church.

Gloria Fantasyland Tickets

Aside from the Rizal Park and Shrine in barangay Talisay and Dakak Park and Beach Resort itself, Gloria Fantasyland is one of the most visited places in Dapitan City. It is the first and so far the only theme park of it's kind in Mindanao. Organizations who avail of CTFN's team building package for Dakak will be provided unstructured free time and more opportunities to bond with their colleagues with an all rides free ticket to Gloria Fantasyland. They have roller coasters, bumper cars, a merry-go-round carousel ride, a Ferris Wheel, 3D and 5D motion rides, and an assortment of other carnival rides. They also have a horror house designed by the director of the movie franchise Shake, Rattle, and Roll. On certain days, Fantasyland also has stage performances and fireworks displays.

Bonus

As part of the drive to encourage organizations to explore Dakak Park and Beach Resort as the venue for their team building programs, round trip boat fares aboard George and Peter Lines will also be covered for groups coming from Cebu City and Dumaguete City. For groups from other places, they can avail of the round trip boat fares when they go through Cebu City or Dumaguete City. Or they may also avail of a one-way ticket on their way out of Dapitan City to either Cebu City or Dumaguete City. This is only available on the date of egress and will be void when not utilized.

Other Resort Facilities

There are other resort facilities at Dakak Park and Beach Resort that are not covered in the team building package but could be of interest to program participants. They could also be opportunities for further team bonding.

Dakak Adventure Zone

Dakak has Asia's longest dual zipline at 1,364 meters with great views of the Sulu Sea and the lush greenery at Dakak. Dakak Adventure Zone also offers horseback riding, rock climbing, rapelling, all terrain vehicle rides, and air soft war games.

Water Sports Rentals

Other than the kayaks which are provided free to use with the team building package, there are other water sports items available for rent such as hobie cats, speed boats, banana boats, and jet skis.

Recreation Area

Dakak's Recreation Area has a billiard table, a karaoke room, a bowling alley, and a fitness gym.
