Cebu Teambuilding Services To Organize Trip For Luzon-based Group in the Summer of 2016

For the past two (2) years, Cebu Teambuilding Services have organized the team building activities and complimentary educational tours of an organization of pollution control officers and safety officers from locators at Laguna Technopark. In 2014, the group did an Amazing Race-inspired team building program in the streets of Metro Cebu. This year, the group's trip to Bohol was highlighted by visits to Maribojoc's organic demo farm and the Bohol Biodiversity Center in Bilar town. In 2016, the proposed location will be mystical Siquijor island and gentle Dumaguete City still in the Visayas regions of the Philippines.

Proposed Itinerary

Expecting the party to arrive at the Dumaguete Airport in Sibulan town at around mid-morning, the first proposed activity is the team building program using the ropes course facility managed by Philsouth Properties.

Team Building

The team building component of the trip will be done at the Project Lifelines ropes course team building facility in Valencia town, Negros Oriental. Philippines Cebu Teambuilding Services founder and managing consultant was the one who trained the staff at Project Lifelines for skills in facilitating.

Off to Siquijor

Right after the team building activity, the party shall have the option to board the 98-foot motor yacht Coco Princess to travel in style and comfort from Dumaguete City to Siquijor or ride one of the regular fast boats plying the Dumaguete to Siquijor route.

Overnight Stay in Siquijor

The party will be checked in at the Coco Grove Beach Resort, one of the largest and more luxurious resorts in the mystical island of Siquijor. Check out the video below to find out more about Coco Grove Resort.

Siquijor Coastal Scenic Tour

Starting early in the morning of Day 2, the party shall have a coastal scenic tour of Siquijor island. This is a roundabout tour that will circle Siquijor island and pass through all six towns of Siquijor province namely Siquijor, San Juan, Lazi, Larena, Maria, and Enrique Villanueva. The tour will stop at the places mentioned below. Since some of the places suggested below are only accessible through motorcycle or a long trek, tour participants may opt for a rented moped or go about the tour skipping some of the places.

Lugnason Falls 

Lugnason Falls in San Juan town's barangay Napo, it is the lesser known of the waterfalls in Siquijor. It is unspoiled by commercialism and is a treat for those seeking a communion with virgin nature.

Fish Spa Under a Balete Tree 

A spring that flows from a century-old balete tree in Lazi is converted into a fish spa. It is a popular stop among tourists visiting the island.

Lazi Convent and San Isidro Labrador Church 

The San Isidro Labrador Church is a Spanish-era church and the Lazi convent is considered the biggest in Asia. This may be accessible only through habal-habal  or a long trek.

Cambugahay Falls 

The more popular waterfalls in Siquijor, Cambugahay Falls can be accessed by a 135-step descent that is rewarded with the soothing sound of a flowing stream and spectacular view of the waterfalls. Popular activities here include swinging on a vine and jumping into the water ala-Tarzan and diving off the waterfalls.

Salagdoong Beach 

The popular cliff diving site in Siquijor is at the Salagdoong Beach Resort in Maria town. The resort is also a popular stopover for lunch among tourists doing the roundabout tour of the island.

Saint Francis of Assisi Church and Belfry

The old church and belfry that welcomes visitors to Siquijor once they exit from the port of Siquijor is the Saint Francis of Assissi church in Siquijor town with a prominent belfry separate from the church structure.

Cantabon Cave

Cantabon Cave is one of the most visited caves in the Philippines. It is the most popular among the 45 other caves on Siquijor island. Marvel at the stalactites and stalagmites as you travel the cave that is 30 meters in length and 10 meters in width.

Capilay Spring Park

The Capilay Spring Park is a natural cold spring in Siquijor's San Juan town that is popular to both locals and tourists. It is located right at the town center.

Return to Dumaguete City

The party shall return to Dumaguete City in the late afternoon of the second day of the trip. They shall check in at the Coco Grande Hotel along Hibbard Avenue, a sister hotel of Coco Grove Beach Resort.

A night stroll along Dumaguete City's famed Rizal Boulevard is in order after dinner. Trip participants may also want to drop by the Sans Rival cafe to savor Dumaguete's sought after silvanas.

Dumaguete City Tour 

Prior to departure, the trip participants will be treated to a short tour of Dumaguete City on Day 3. The Dumaguete City tour will mostly feature historical landmarks in the city of gentle people such as Silliman University, Dumaguete Cathedral, and Sidlakang Negros Village.
